As a registered member, you can submit content to the site such as links, text, posts, images and videos. The website was launched in 2005, and now has over430 million monthly active users and over 100,000 active communities.

A subreddit is a specific online community on Reddit, which is dedicated to a niche topic that people write about and discuss. You can think of them as discussion boards, and they’re denoted by r/, followed by the name of the subreddit.

Who Can Use Reddit?
Reddit is open to everyone who is 13 years and older! However, if you want to post and comment then you will have toregister to become a member. Of course, you should follow “rediquette” in order to be a respected member of your communities.
How to Join and Use Reddit
If you want to reap the many benefits of being a Reddit member, you canregister on the website with a username and password. It’s completely free to join!
Once you’re registered, you can start browsing different subreddits. If you have a specific topic in mind, simply type it into the search bar at the top of the website. Or, if you’re in an explorative mood, feel free to scroll through the front page to see what sparks your interest.
After you find a subreddit that interests you, subscribe to it by clicking on the green “Subscribe” button. This will help personalize the main screen you see when logging into your Reddit account.
If you’re ready to interact rather than just lurk, you can choose to comment on a post or “upvote” which moves a post toward the top of that particular subreddit. If you disapprove of a post, you can even “downvote,” which moves it toward the bottom of the page. And of course, if you have a question of your own, feel free to post!
